Karelia |
This region of Russia, which lies between the west shore of the White Sea and Finland, is a land of lakes and forests.
We offer you a trip to the rich deposit of raspberry-red corundum, situated on the Isle of Khit, surrounded by the placid waters of a lake in the Chupa fjord district. It is a wild place and Karelsky, the nearest village, is five kilometres away.
This noteworthy place is near the geographical line of the Arctic Circle and here, especially in summer, it is a real beauty. July-August is the best time for visiting the deposit.
Furthermore, expeditions to other localities in Karelia can be organized.
